And of course, the difference in the bill was more than the difference in the price of the software. They also don't agree on what taxes you have to pay because after completely redoing my taxes, this software came to a different, higher tax bill than the online version. Apparently the two tax prep solutions don't have any way to transfer data from one to the other. After an hour of trying and failing to chat with a human I tweeted at them and finally got a response. I reached out using their built in help desk but couldn't reach a real person. I looked for a way to transfer my progress from the online tax prep but couldn't find a way.
